Daily Sketch - Rabid Feesh

One of the things that I've been enjoying during these daily sketches is watching the transformation of a sketch like this:

Into something like this:

i feel like i'll end up saying the same things over again for crits here -_-;;;; not to mention sound like those boring crits at school

urgh.

use other colors too for shadows!
not just a darker version of pink, but other colors ... shadows have many colors you know. like when you go towards to edge of the subject,
the edge of the fish in this case ... it doesn't stay pink. its like a combination of the background lighting and the fish's shadow (like a light purplish, cyan something.
actually.... go look at a ball.
and you'll see what i mean.
or an egg on a white surface. at first you'll see nothing, but keep on looking, colors show up (and no this is not because you are straining your eyes or you're starting to get dizzy from staring).
