Daily Sketch -- Hunter Metroid

Well, when the well of ideas is running dry, Metroids never fail. This here's a hunter metroid from Metroid Prime. Experimented with layering different textures and papers, as well as revisiting an airbrush technique that I haven't used in a while.

yay red blood cells!!!
i like how you are varying the diff. types of textures by changing their sizes, colors and texture types.
you could also use those texture/pattern brushes over the subject (in this case, the metroid) too, you know... so that it could sorta look like its coming out of the environment or part of the enviro that its in. but then again, thats entirely up to you.

aigooz. gotta start drawing again.
but i don't feel like it; i feel like my muse has expired. one of those sad things that can't be rezed again.

Hehehe... You can always find a muse in other media! My current one resides in Odin Sphere right now...

I've been grabbing a whole bunch of textures and splatters 'cause I wanna keep expanding my abilities in this area... I'm really liking Conte and I'm using them almost exclusively now, with a few palette knives and airbrushes here and there. My sky is almost always still the Grainy Dry Artist's Oils brush, though.
